Employee Training

Front Line Leader Development Program

We recognize that our Front Line Supervisors and Managers are our most important driver of performance and engagement. Our Front Line Leadership program provides new and current supervisors and managers with a toolkit of practical skills and competencies to ensure they are prepared with critical people-leadership skills. The goal of the program is for leaders to increase their effectiveness in managing, leading and coaching others, fostering an environment to enable employee engagement, improved performance, and increased employee satisfaction.

Career Pathways

Web’s Career Pathways program is a career development process that creates a more effective way to provide feedback and coaching that will help you reach your potential. Its purpose is to facilitate more frequent and meaningful conversations between employees, managers, and peers.

Learning and Development

Web Industries is committed to putting people first and that starts with ensuring our employee-owners are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver excellence in everything they do. By blending traditional training with innovative learning and development methodologies, we focus on both smart (technical and business focused) and healthy (self-knowledge and people skills) performance. Building on our innate human drive for mastery, we create opportunities for our employee-owners to satisfy their curiosity, challenging them to learn and grow in both formal and informal settings within Web and beyond.

On-the-Job Training

Critical to the development of many of our employee-owners is On-the-job training (OJT), typically called “hands-on” training. This targeted approach uses existing workplace tools, machines, processes, documents, knowledge and skills necessary for an employee to effectively perform the job. This is typically done on a one-to-one basis providing practice and coaching in the same environment and with the same tools and materials that is required to accomplish the job.

Mentor/Onboarding Program

Onboarding our employees is a key process of welcoming, educating, connecting, and acculturating new employees. It helps assimilate our employee-owners into work, the team processes, and into Web’s culture. Our onboarding program is pivotal for both the employee and Web as we work hard to ensure our employees reach their full potential and success. The total onboarding process takes place over a year and provides a mentor and other tools to ensure success is a team effort. We strive to ensure excellence, learning, and fun!

Educational Assistance

Web employees are eligible for educational assistance to enroll in coursework that will enhance job performance and support career development.

What is employee ownership?

According to the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), “employee ownership” refers to the ownership of a company, either in part or in whole, by some or all of its employees—generally through a formal employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) offered by the employer. This type of nurturing environment typically results in a very collaborative and transparent culture where everyone is working towards the same goals.

Employee-owned companies are more successful.

Studies have found that employee-owned companies perform better and grow faster than their non-employee-owned counterparts. For example: In one 10-year study, ESOP companies experienced sales growth at a rate that was 5.4% faster compared with non-ESOP counterparts. Overall, 73% of the companies evaluated significantly improved performance after setting up their employee stock ownership plans.

Ownership provides a strong incentive for employees to work productively. Opportunities for participation enhance productivity by providing an outlet for workers’ ideas and talents.
